In recent years, researches on the architecture of next generation network have been a focus in countries. A major project research program of our country, named "New Generation Highly Trustworthy Network", has proposed Open and Reconfigurable Networks Architecture (ORNA) to decouple applications from services in traditional network architecture, and to solve problems for the network convergence.This thesis focuses on the research of Integrated Network Management for Application Reconfiguration (INMAR) in ORNA.Firstly, INMAR is proposed in this thesis as a novel concept to meet the requirement of application management in ORNA, and its definition is also provided. This thesis introduces the modeling of INMAR from three aspects:network management function, information model, and communication framework. According to the INMAR model, the software framework of Integrated Network Management Node (INMN) is designed.Secondly, this thesis proposes a unified application model by parameterzing applications of ORNA, and describes the model by XML Schema. Two additional frameworks, named Common Parameter Framework and Service-specified Parameter Framework, are also designed for description of application characteristic parameters.Thirdly, this thesis also researches the handling mechanism of distributed transaction in the application deployment in Application Bearer Network (ABN). A flexible transaction model based on the nested transaction model is implemented in the application deployment. Some useful policies and algorithms are provided for sub-transaction paralleling, sub-transaction division, sub-transaction failure handling, and sub-transaction execution order computing, etc.Then, Service Resource Manager, a core module in the software framework of INMN based on INMAR model, is designed in detail.Finally, a prototype system of INMN is implemented and used to verify the design of INMAR model and the system architecture of INMN by a successful application deployment of IPSec VPN in a testing environment.At present, ORNA is still in its infancy, and most of past researches are purely theoretical. There are rarely researches on network management in ORNA. Therefore, the work and contribution of this thesis have great academic and realistic significance to complement the network management part of ORNA, and have considerable referential values to related researches, which will promote the further study and development of ORNA.
