With the technology of laser developing, the exquisite industrial art carved by laser in the substance such as glass has good market foreground. However, at present image used in the laser carving is processed by the method of calculating its gray value. There are disadvantages to batch processing and cubic effect in this method. In terms of image processing, we adopt the method of optimizing the 3D mesh of the image based on the file of DXF in this thesis.On the foundation of deeply researching the hardware structure of laser carving system, we develop the function library used in controlling the laser-engraving machine. In terms of computer procedure, we implement the requirement of displaying in three views, which make image processing and laser carving more visual; In terms of image processing, we devise a arithmetic of deleting point fit to DXF; We turn the problem of the order of points into TSP in the processing of choosing the carving path, and resolve it by programming the ant colony algorithm, of which We confirm the parameter by experimenting with the different size of image.At present, the laser carving system designed and developed in this thesis has been used into practice, each function achieves the expecting effect.
