The monopulse radar plays an important role in the aerospace TT & C field of our country. With the development and use of new technologies, digital monopulse radar techniques is becoming more and more mature and practical, so the digital transformation of analog monopulse radar receiver is adapt to the needs of the new times development. The purpose of receiver digital transformation is making a big improve based on the increase of reliability. So we must study the radar echo weak signal detection before digital transformation of the receiver. The aim is to improve signal to noise ratio of the digital receiver output echo signal, and increase the tracking distance of monopulse radar.In this paper, we proposed a multi-resolution wavelet threshold denoising method which can achieve momopulse radar weak single detection, our research is based on a lot of weak signal detection theory and the characteristics of momopulse radar echo signal processing. The paper describe the research background of the monopulse radar weak signal detection method, and introduce the collection and extraction work of momopulse radar echo signal. Through the simulation of the proposed method by MATLAB, the good results are obtained in the echo signal denoising and waveform recovery. It laid theoretical foundation for the follow-up digital transformation of receiver and algorithm model.In the paper, the proposed method effectively improves the output noise ratio of the weak signal detection, and increases the monopulse radar tracking range a lot.
