In this paper, starting from their fundamental design theory, a spiral array antenna and a slot array antenna on a radial feed line which are etched on the PCB are studied and made. These two kinds of microstrip array antennas are fed at the center of radial waveguide, where a radial outward traveling-wave mode (TEM) is generated, through a coaxial feed pin. Electromagnetic energy is radiated from antenna cell on the upper surface of waveguide when power transmits along radial direction.According to the antenna technical requirement, including gain, sidelobe level, AR, polarized state, etc, the aperture's distribution can be decided. As the location and level of the sidelobes of a radial waveguide pin-fed array antenna, which stem from periodic amplitude and phase errors in the aperture field, we introduce something about this. Also, the equivalent permittivity has been considered when simulating about slot array antenna, and tested to confirm its performance.The planar spiral microstrip antenna array which feed from the radial waveguide through the probe, we give the design process and analyse its performance, the VSWR in the band is less than 2, the AR is less than 2dB, E plane and H plane direction of sidelobe level less than-12dB, meet the demand of direct-broadcast satellite antenna applications.The circular polarization microstrip slot array antenna fed on the radial waveguide which we made, through comparing with different simulation results by changing the various design parameters ,the VSWR and the AR have been improved, in the process of designing, a matching spiral have been increased to the edges to improve the AR. Also, describes the equivalent parameters of the design process which impact the design results. The VSWR, axial ratio and radiation pattern are well, but the aperture efficiency is not ideal, it is need to further study. In the radial line slot array antenna simulation of the design process, due to the antenna is complex, antenna modeling is difficult, and this paper by using MATLAB programming language generates a script file to solve this difficulty.
