With the development of science and technology, the applications of radioequipments in the military and civil areas are extensive increasingly. This makes avariety of antennas exist in a limited space at the same time. The electromagneticenvironment in the limited space will be deteriorated and the performance of electronicequipments will be degraded. So how to effectively reduce the coupling betweenantennas is the key problem of the system electromagnetic compatibility. In this dissertation, monopoles on bounded conducting planes are used as a model. The MoM and UTD are used to analyze the effects of the size of the conducting planesand the slots on the coupling. And novel methods for reducing the coupling arepresented. The results show that choosing the size of each bounded conducting planeappropriately can make the coupling smaller, and lots of half wavelength slotsexcavated on the bounded conducting planes can also reduce the coupling well. Whilethe effects of the width and the interval of the slots on the coupling are little. The calculated results show that the presented approaches to suppress the mutualcoupling between antennas are effective. And some new ideas are provided for reducingthe coupling between antennas.
