| Universities'security is a major concern since it is associated with both university surroundings and the social stability. Video monitoring system is one of the effective means to ensure safety and prevent accidents in the university. Digital campus will definitely be formed with the development of Chinese campus culture. Accordingly, the connected monitoring system is demanded which is characterized by internet and teaching management to realize the integration between security management and teaching management.This thesis focuses on the digital video monitoring system based on the application project in Emei Campus of Southwest Jiaotong University. Firstly, it gives an account of the development and progress of digital video monitoring system and the trend of digitalization and networking on vedeo monitoring system. And then it analyzes its current status and advantages as well as its key technology, particularly, digital video compression coding technology. On the base of the analysis of the principle of digital video monitoring system and the principle of design of video monitoring system and the requirement of transmission of digital video monitoring system, the paper gives an account of how to design the different parts for camera, transmission, control and demonstration so that networking monitoring system of hard disk video recorder might be programmed, with the realization of hard ware and soft ware and its security. Additionally, on the design of monitoring, three practical surroundings and discussed farther that include application of security monitoring, the application of multimedia teaching management and its connection with campus CCTV system. Hence, a reasonable program about these surroundings is designed. Eventually, the paper concludes with a summary of the operation of the system as well as its prospect. |
