Orthogonal frequency division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a Multi-carrier Modulation technique which has been used more and more widely in wireless communication system because it has advantages such as anti-interference, high spectrum efficiency, simple realization, etc.The methods to lower the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of OFDM system are researched in the essay. Firstly, the advantages and disadvantages of three kinds of methods to lower the PAPR are researched and analyzed. Then a method based on three-dimensional chaotic to produce phase sequence is proposed and chaotic phase sequence produce and performance is analyzed. Finally, a selected mapping (SLM) method based on three-dimensional chaotic is proposed, research and experimental results show that the method can not only lower the system complexity also the PAPR performance of the system gotten by this Method is better than that of traditional SLM obviously.
