Virtual reality(VR) is defined as any in which user is effectively immersed in a responsive virtual world. Research on how to enhance the realistic in VR has been hot research area.In view of existing situation, this paper proposed the research of VR design. As the same as virtual aesthetics, VR design is grounded on the analysis of relationship between viewers and virtual world, and the combination of art and technology. The difference is, simulating effects is up to the user's expectations and needs, not only from Aesthetic feeling. The paper mainly includes as follows:Firstly, this paper summarized characteristics of VR design, including three facets:work, creation and appreciation. And then, we discussed "human factor" that is, human requirement and the way we get to know the virtual world. In this section, we have introduced characteristics of human requirement and Maslow's hierarchy of needs in detail, which play an important role in the creation process. Next, research on virtual world was followed. Among all the design elements such as visual elements, hearing elements and tactile elements, this paper focused on visual elements. After pointing out the existing problems in some aspects such as modeling, space planning, color, material, Texture and lighting, this paper explored the ways and method to solve these problems. Finally, combined with an example, it explained that simulating effects are closely linked with "human factor". By application of "Maslow's hierarchy of needs" and "arts disciplines", VR would match with user demands better, and improve the simulative effect, as well as the degree of customer satisfaction.This paper uses a new method to attempt to increase real feelings of situation in virtual environment, which will not only be significant in practice, but also enriches the theory of art and design and has theoretical value.In the process of research, the methodology combining the theory with practice, data collection with logic judgment, history with reality is followed.
