Along with social progress and technological development, people are no longer satisfied with performance and entertainment of the robot. How to make robots more practical and closer to life becomes a research focus. So home service robots have been paid more attention, and will be a new research project. As a new technology used in home-service robots, intelligent space has become an inevitable trend. In this paper, multi-species and multi-level data of the intelligent space in home environment are analyzed; Variety-heterogeneous devices data and complex-dynamic task data are stored and unified managed through database; and intelligent space management and monitor platform is set up to monitor the device and analyze the data in intelligent space.The main works in this paper are as follows:1) Intelligent space is constructed and tasks programming are completed in intelligent space. To the construction of intelligent space in home environment, definition of intelligence extent is proposed; and levels of intelligent space construction are divided. The definition of intelligence extent and the division of construction levels have certain guiding significance to intelligent space reconstruction.2) Considering of complexity, diversity and heterogeneity, which are characteristics of the information in intelligent space, the data are analyzed and then the devices with uniform properties and operation are encapsulated in one class and meanwhile logical relationship between classes is built. The data and the logical relationships are stored in database. The experiments show that the database management system (DBMS) can manage data efficiently and share resource in intelligent space.3) Considering of various computer interaction modes, a scheduling algorithm of intelligent space based on a 5wlh information representation is designed. The interaction modes are integrated by database, and information fusion based on Bayesian Networks is also used in the scheduling algorithm. The result shows that the Bayesian Networks express the process of information fusion in intelligent space reasonably, and the 5wlh information representation increases the efficiency of information transmission, so the accuracy of service decision-making was effectively improved.4) Intelligent space management and monitor platform is realized and the application is researched. The software platform, which is developed by Visual C++ 6.0 and SQL Server 2000, is for home service robot in intelligent space environment. The service robot and other smart devices are connected with the server through C/S structure. The main functions include configuring and managing the intelligent space, monitoring and controlling all the smart devices in intelligent space, querying history and so on.The study focuses on that:how to make all the hardware and software resources used and shared by the intelligent space easily; how to reduce the data between smart devices and how to deal with the human computer interaction modes. The experiments show that the platform can manage data effectively and meanwhile can realize friendly and harmonious human-machine interaction.
