OFDM is the most promising solution for the physical layer of future wireless communication networks. OFDMA wireless networks have two important advantages: the multicarrier transmission introduces two-dimensional (time and frequency) resource allocation, which can effectively exploit the available capacity of fading channels; scheduling between users can exploit multiuser diversity gain and satisfy different QoS requirements of users. This paper introduced the relevant knowledge of OFDM and wirless resources management, Channel model of OFDMA system, relations of multi-user capacity and multi-user diversity were analyzed. Subcarrier–Bit allocation algorithm in multiuser OFDMA system and a MAC-PHY cross layer resource management scheme with weights are proposed respectively. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed schemes yield good capacity performances and acceptable fairness performances, the work will help to the implement of future wireless networks.
