Fatigue drive has become the main cause accidents, how to detect and prevent driver fatigue has become a hot spot of current research. Use the modern infrared monitoring technology, Day or night real-time and accurate, non-contact monitoring driver fatigue, is the starting point of this paper. Based on the analysis on the basis of the system, research and improvement the face recognition algorithm. proposed a fast face detection algorithm, determine the basic outline of the face. Then use the geometrical characteristics of symmetrical face calculate length and width, finally realizes the face positioning. This article tried to put on automatic matching method applied in sequence movement image segmentation.Import OpenCV, and introducing haarcascade algorithm of automatic tracking drivers face image. The methods are classified into three: face detection, eye location and pilot fatigue recognition. Content as follows:(1) Face detection is pilot fatigue test of the preparatory work, This paper, on the face detection using infrared coarse person faceimage facial regional higher brightness, background, using the simple iterative type threshold algorithm for image binary, then puts forward a vertical projection and regional connected combined algorithm face accurate positioning.(2) Eye location is a key step in the driver fatigue detection. Traditional Hough transform and template match requires face image with clear verge information. It also need take great amount of computation and do not well in real-time aspect. Based on the detailed analysis of the characteristics of infrared images, this article improves the Harris corner detection algorithm, and apply it to the position of the pupil. This method avoids a complex computing, locating accurately and haves great algorithm speed, fully meet the real-time requirements.(3)According to PERCLOS principle, this paper using the method of calculating eye areas to monitor driver fatigue in real time. For driving at night is the high incidence of fatigue period, this method takes infrared light as the light resource and resolve the instability of dim light in night. All the algorithm this article taken is simple and effective, low complexity, not only be not sensitive to the impact of illumination, but also has better tolerance and robustness. This paper in virtue of OPENCV ,by the PERCLOS method real time detect the drive statue, this method is for the night drive,by the infared as the lamp-house, the arithmetic simple and efficiency,have the less effect to the illumination, have a good botherness and stick nature.
