Study On Techniques Relevant To Compressed Video Based Shot Change Detection And Key Frame Extraction

In this paper techniques relevant to compressed video based shot change detection and key frame extraction, extraction of key frame with captions in particular are studied.1. Present situation of these techniques at home and abroad is introduced.2. Video digitalization and video compression format is also referred.3. Some Shot segmentation methods are overviewed. Twin slip-window method and its implementation is described in detail.4. An Algorithm for extracting key frame with captions is posed. This method can satisfy the particular requirement of extracting key frame with captions. Recall and precision are relatively high as seen from the experimental results.5. Some key frame extraction methods are overviewed. The algorithm for video content cluster based key frame extraction is described in detail.6. The neural network based algorithm for extracting key frame with characters is emphatically posed.
