| Web-based Information System is an information system that uses Internet/web technologies to deliver information and services to users or other information system/application. More and more Information systems are now developed based on Web, so how to design and implement Web-based information is very important and with significance of practice.This thesis is a technical report which examines the issues related to the development of Web-based information system. A Web-based library information system for a fictitious organization is analysed and designed as an example. The requirements are analysed in chapter 2, then the database design which includes conceptual and logical design are introduced in detail in chapter 3. To implement the system we should use some technical platforms and development tools, so several important technologies are introduced and analysed in chapter 4, these includes Internet Information Services (IIS), ASP.NET, MySQL, ADO.Net and so on. Some of the underlying technologies used to create and implement the applications are also discussed. |
