Nowadays, there are two kinds of Target monitoring system based on infrared technology .Initiative infrared tracking positioning system is one of them , while another is the warning system based on the pyroelectric infrared sensor. In this article the characteristic of the two kinds is unified, with video sensor an intelligent supervisory system that combines the function of active tracking and passive tracking warning is presented.The target into the system can be devided into two categories, according to whether they carry the launcher or not:"the predetermined target"and"the bare target". The predetermined target is detected through the infrared radiation emitted by the infrared device in it, then, the target is tracked within the detection range after the identity of the target is distinguished. The other kind of target can give off infrared rays itself without emission device and is regarded as "illegal invasion person". When the passive infrared sensor induces this radiation, a trigger signal will be sent to the microprocessor which gives alarming and tracking command, then the target is tracked automatically. So the system can supply comprehensive monitoring and prevention for the building which is poor in recognizing "guest", and achieve the function of alarming for the selected target. The system performs high intelligent but with lower cost.The structure of the system, the principle of operation and the environment of the application is first described, then, the design concept and realization of the program are presented in sub-module. Tracking algorithms is different which is given in detail for each module. Furthermore the solution of the problem that the sensitivity of the sensor drops on the boundary is described to improve the stability, timeliness and accuracy of the system performance. As well as the design of the implementing agencies, the tracking algorithm, circuit board production and commissioning is completed. Experimental results show that the system is stable and dependent less on environment. It is easy to expand network and make it a good application.,...
