In recent years, as Ultra wide-band (UWB) wireless communication technology has high-speed, low loss, low cost, and good time domain characteristics that has good prospects for development. UWB antenna as its key components,the quality of antenna performance has a direct impact on the quality of the communication system,the design and research of UWB antenna also has considerable significance and challenges.It firstly introduces definition, standards and key features of UWB technology,Then introduced the related technologies parameters, research status and research trends of UWB antenna, Defined the technical requirements of UWB technology to antenna and summarizes the analysis methods commonly used in UWB antenna. this paper mainly dose the following work:1. The bandwidth of the antenna impedance is improved greatly by analyzing the surface current distribution on the floor and the radiation patch,and effectively reduce 32%in the size of the antenna to achieve miniaturization of the antenna design.2. Composite structure antenna are designed through the open ends of dipole slot antenna were combined to form wide-gap structure of the antenna,which greatly improved the original dipole antenna bandwidth and radiation performance, illustrates the advantages of combination structural in antenna design.3. Current changes more slowly through arc gap structure on the floor of CPW fed printed slot antenna,and radiation patch is improved to regulate its coupling between the floor, Experimental results show that the antenna has a relative bandwidth of 122%(2.9GHz-11.9GHz)4. An UHB printed slot antenna is designed using the slot loading technology. Experimental results show that the antenna has good band-notched in the band of 5.1GHz-5.9GHz...
