Research And Development Of CAD System Of Die-Casting Mold For Magnesium Alloy Mobile Phone Shell

The die-casting industry of magnesium alloy housing is at an early age and a sunrise industry with enormous development potential. The design of die-casting mold for magnesium alloy mobile housing is complex and need search plenty of calculating data. To reduce the labor intensity of mold design, the study on die-casting mold CAD system for magnesium alloy mobile shell was carried out.According to the design principle of die-casting mold, this paper developed a simple and practical mobile shell casting mold CAD system in the Windows XP environment, based on the plat of Pro/E Wildfire 4.0 software, using Access 2003 database, Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 compiler and a function-rich secondary development tool Pro/Toolkit from Pro/E self, Parameters and Relations and other tools.Combining the structure feature of mobile shell, this system, on the basis of analyzing mold multi-structure, brought forth a reasonable mold structure form and established system functional module program and overall structure by the general design process of die-casting mold. This system was composed of 7 modules, like mobile shell casting part, process parameter design, choosing die-casting machine, shaped parts design, structure parts design, ejecting mechanism design and general assembly drawing for die carrier parameter. When using the system, a few parameters were required to input into the dialog box for each module, then the die-casting process parameters and mold structure were obtained, and the three-dimensional mobile model drawing and module drawing of accordingly mobile shell were generated, too. It simplifies the mold design process and standardizes the mold design procedure.By analyzing Pro/E software, Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 compiler Access database mutual communication and relative port technique essentials, this paper researched MFC visual dialog box design, Pro/Toolkit menu design, ADO database access and other crucial technologies, set up each module dialog box, menu and information resource file of the system, created Access database conducting the standard dimension of each module part, realized the visual interface design of CAD system for mobile shell die-casting mold.The system has an interface-friendly, operates simply, forms picture rapidly, well achieves the three-dimensional parameterization design of die-casting mold and elevates the design efficiency of mobile shell die-casting..
