The ferrite line is one of the nonlinear transmission line. Its applications include HPM e-beam driver, Pockels-Cell driver, and ultrawideband radar and so on. Its work voltage is always between 10kV and several hundreds volts. The work reputition of fer-rite line is up to 60kHz at burst mode. In this paper, deeper research is envolved in ma-gnetic storage study. A thorough investigation of ferrite line is carried out.A computer model is built up which combines transmission line equation and Lan-dau-lifshiz equation to study the ferrite line. TLM method is applied to solve the model and some characters of ferrite line are given out.The pulse sharping effect varies with fe-rrite materials. It helps the final selection of the most efficient ferrite material, microwave ferrite. Tests on capacitor-fast-discharging circuit make clear that the pulse sharpening effect varies with the amplitue of input voltage. Tests on SM-7N indicate the axial bias is very important for the pulse sharping. There is a best value of the axial bias for the fastest front of pulse.On the SM-7N, a ferrite line is applied and then the pulse front is sharpen from~3ns to~350ps at the rate of 10kHz. The output of the ferrite line has a great stabili-zation.
