With the rapid development of computer technology and communication technology, the whole world is rapidly integrating, and computer network has become the economy base and lifeline of the country. Lots of businesses, organizations, governments and agencies are beginning to set up and develop their network and connect to the Internet, to fully share and use the information and resource on the Internet. However, the open Internet has also brought a variety of security issues, such as the identity of the other communication side can not easily be authenticated, and the communication content is liable to be stolen and damaged, so security information cannot be transferred on the Internet safely. Therefore, establishing a safe and convenient communication technology has become a hot area of network security research.Based on analysis of existing security interface model technology, the dissertation designs and develops a security interface model, which supports IPv6 protocol and has the function of identity authentication and data encryption. First of all, it shows the hardware platform of the security interface model, including ARM processor and SDRAM, FLASH, NIC chips and other peripheral equipment. After that, it gives the software platform and of the model and shows how to set up development and debug environment. Then details identity authentication and data encryption features of the module, the authentication protocol is designed to resist many types of replay attacks, data encryption can choose hardware or software at will, the whole analysis of system security design is placed at the end of this part. At last, this dissertation gives the specific application of the module, which provides external interface of Ethernet port, serial port and parallel port, communication data can be transferred to the security interface model through any one of the three ports, after authentication, communication data will be encrypted and packaged to IPv6 packets, then sent over the network to the other side, the receive decrypt the data to finish a normal communication.Research of this topic, which follows the development trend of network and information security and provides a security network communication tool supporting IPv6 protocol, has a broad prospect on the market.
