The microwave sparse-array radar transmits signals of aperture and multi-frequency orthogonality by the transmit array which consists of large-scale sparse subarray, and the receive array consists of dense subarray or single antenna. It will locate and track the target by synthesizes the plots of transmit signals. The paper will research the target detection and related technologies of the radar.Firstly, this paper summarizes work theory and methods in signal processing of this radar combined with the problem, establishes the space array model of system, simultaneously, and gives the arithmetic flow in signal processing; then it introduces detailedly work theory and arithmetic of target detection module, including the theory and implementation of target detection(MTD) by long-time coherent integration base on wide-bandwidth wave , forming direction-plot by synthetic impulse and aperture(SIAR), and constant false alarm(CFAR), and simulates with the project. Finally, it discusses the project implementation, according to the result of simulation based on DSP with C language comparing with the result of simulation based on computer, the validity and the feasibility of this calibration algorithm are verified, and it introduces the idea of optimizing the program.
