Heavy-haul and high-speed is the main developing direction of our railway transportation. Safety is the eternal theme of the railway transportation. Recent years, the derailment accidents of the raising speed freight locomotive, many of which happened because of skidding during the braking. In this case, the research on anti-skid of freight locomotive is very important and significant.The anti-skid control method is researched deeply aiming at the problem of wheel-rail's adhesion during braking. Firstly, the main factors effecting the wheel-rail's adhesion is analyzed, the domestic and international anti-skid control experience is referred, and the existing anti-skid device control features are analyzed, and the advantages and disadvantages of existing anti-skid control parameters are compared.finally,the slip ratio and the deceleration and the jerk are determined as control parameters. Secondly, using the basic idea of the fuzzy control, the fuzzy control model of anti-skid is built and the fuzzy control algorithm is implemented. Thirdly, the braking force model of the HXD3 electric locomotive running on the slope is built, using the simulation tools SIMULIN in the MATLAB, the system using the fuzzy control method is simulated in the two different rail states and the simulation results are compared. The results show that the fuzzy control model can effectively inhibit the occurrence of locomotive's skid. In addition, the partial speed testing data are used to verify the fuzzy control model and the result also shows that the model reaches expected design requirement. Finally, using the GUI of MATLAB, the display interface of simulation result is designed to be convenient of observing the simulation curves and the simulation data.This research work prepares theories for the development and research on intelligent anti-skid system, and lays a certain foundation for the wide application of anti-skid system in the electric locomotive.
