Study On Web Application Based On Grails

With the wide spread of Web application and development of Web technology, a new Framework, which can simplify develop process, reduce development difficulty and improve develop efficiency, is needed. Currently, J2EE application framework is the most widely used Web Development Platform. However, with developers demands, J2EE application system has become overstaffed because of continuously added components and gradually expanded XML configuration management files. Therefore, the J2EE application system can not meet the needs of developers in development cycle and running speed.Grails framework is the perfect solution which aims to satisfy the programmers' demands in development and running speed. Compared with J2EE application framework, Grails Framework shows great advantages in development speed and Web application deployment. Grails itself encompasses the whole components for constructing web application, so developers could develop web applications without integrating other frameworks into Grails. It makes web development more convenient and efficient, which greatly meets the needs of developers.In this paper, Grails development framework and related key technology were introduced. And core architecture of the framework was mainly researched. Though comparing with several classic development frameworks, strengths and weaknesses of Grails development framework were discussed. The design and accomplishment of petition case management system for Hubei Higher People s Court based on Grails framework demonstrated superiority of the framework. In addition, its performance defects were improved based on experiences in practice.
