Research Of Image Fragments Reassembly Methodology

The research for image fragment reconstruction aims at the reassembly for many irregular image fragments, and it is a novel and typical application in the field of computer vision, pattern recognition and image analysis, which is widely used for judicial authentication and cultural relic fragments repairing.The hot research topic aims at irregular curve edge fragment whose contour is unique. Therefore, we can reassemble the fragments using their contours. However, another type of fragment, irregular polygon fragment, has seldom been researched. This paper discussed 2-D image fragments reconstruction at first, and then the issue of irregular polygon fragments reassembly was emphatically discussed. At last, a series of arithmetic for polygon fragments reassembly was introduced, and was carried out by Matlab.
