FRP(Fiberglass-Reinforced Plastics) by filament winding, as a new material, which is manufactured by solidifying with the resin and doffed the mold after winding by fibrament winding machine. Compared with tradition metal material, it has many prominent merits and fine performances. So it has been widely applied to industrial, transportation, oil and chemical industry.In the manufacturing process of FRP, the amount of resin glue which has been immersed in the fiberglass tape directly affects the level of the quality of products. In the traditional fiber winding system, devices which control the amount of resin glue are always used manual control, and are neglect the viscosity of resin glue so that the accuracy cannot be guranteed. Then the quality of products have been seriously affected.By analyzing the FRP forming process and combining with the characteristics of resin glue, this paper designes a controller of the resin flow based on fuzzy self-tuning. The control effect of controller is simulated and analyzed by using control system toolbox in Matlab and simulation modules in Simulink. Through the compared with the simulation of different controller, simulink datas indicate that controller based on fuzzy self-turning improves evidengtly the performance of control system.For the effects of temperature on the resin, a set of FRP automatic glue pouring control system is developed in this paper.We can take control of the amount of resin glue by controlling the amount of flow of resin glue poured into the fiberglass tape. In the VC++6.0 environment, using C++ language compiles fuzzy self-tuning control algorithms and human-machine interface for real-time monitoring. Using Advantech industrial computer and PCL818L data acquisition card complete real-time data collection, human-machine dialogue and communication with the underlying hardware. The running results indicate that this system works steadily and reliably, achieves the flow control of resin glue, solves the impact on the flow of resin glue due to the change of temperature and thereby affects the amount of resin glue in the fiberglass tape. Then enhances the production efficiency, the product quality and the performance greatly.
