With the improvement of the life standard, deterioration of the environment recently, traditional engine is beyond the requisition on high economic, best emission and comfortableness. At the same time, electronic control technology is developing rapidly, it's the best choice of satisfy to adopt the electronic control system of the vehicle engine to above-mentioned requests. Electronic control of the vehicle engine includes electronic fuel injection, electronic spark control and idle speed control.A typical engine control system consists of three parts: sensors, electronic control unit (ECU) and executors. Sensors transform sampled engine mechanical and thermodynamics parameters to electronic signals and transfer them to ECU. ECU analyses various kinds of parameters synthetically, determines engine's operating conditions, and then sends control signals to executors to change or hold engine's operating conditions.Three major parts of engine management system (EMS) are introduced and EMS's principles are analyzed. This dissertation focuses on fuel injection and ignition control methods in difference conditions.Because fuel injection and ignition control system is a non-linear, time variant system, it is difficult to set up mathematical model. With the development of control theory, domestic and international experts and scholars study idle speed fuzzy control, neutral network control, adaptive control and other control methods that will make the automobile cleverer and more comfortable. This paper studies the intelligent engine control based on fuzzy control.Gasoline engine control is analyzed, which can make us to understand electronic engine control system well. I hope that it will help to our country's independent development in the field of automotive electronics.
