With the development of the worldwide information digitization upsurge, the Digital Museum development is especially rapid everywhere. The Digital Museum shows exhibitions, information and news of the real museums in digital mode on the internet by using the advanced computer technology. People could get lots of useful information from the Digital Museum at home without moving.Archaeological drawing is one kind of the useful information. Archaeological drawing introduces graphics to archaeology tasks and researches, which could describe the cultural relics with the theories and techniques of graphics. The advantages are:intuition, accuracy, emphasis and so on, which could satisfy the public, especially the researchers, for example, the archaeologists, to get accurate information of cultural relics.Because of the limitations of hand drawing and scanning, the digital images are often with low quality, which needs redraw by archaeologists using software (Photoshop, etc.). It is a fussy and repetitive work.In the thesis, we discuss this issue, present the flow of redrawing archaeological drawing, analyze some key algorithms and ameliorate them. We implement the CAD system for archaeology drawing, which could ensure the accuracy of images, improve the efficiency of redrawing and reduce the workload of archaeologists dramatically. The main works of this thesis are:Introduce a methods and a flow to redraw the archaeology drawing. Following the characteristics of the band-images of archaeological drawing, we extract the skeleton of image first, and then redraw the skeleton by optimizing and expanding it to achieve our target. Implement a useful CAD system for archaeology drawing. The system is easy to use and output the result image with high quality, which could be used for teaching, publishing and so on.
