Research And Realization Of The GMSK Demodulation Based On Software Radio

In recent years, the emergence and application of software radio technology, based on the modern communication theory, with the digital signal processing at the core, supported by microelectronic technology, greatly promote the development of wireless communication systems. Software radio technology makes wireless communication system more flexible and open by building a common standard modular hardware platform and using the software realizing wireless communication functions as much as possible. Along with the development of communication technology, demodulation technology as one of the key technologies for communication system develops from the analog to digital modulation and full digital modulation. Using reasonable and effective demodulation algorithm is very important for wireless communication system performance.Based on the understanding of the present research situation and key technology on software radio, the paper makes an important research and simulation on the MSK and GMSK demodulation technology based on software radio, achieves GMSK demodulation algorithm in Small Form Factor Software Definition Radio (SFF SDR).The paper makes an in-depth analysis of the MSK and GMSK demodulation principle and algorithm, does simulation and analysis of the MSK and GMSK demodulation algorithm in MATLAB/Simulink, and compares the phases and frequency spectrum characteristics of MSK and GMSK. Also, it makes a detail analysis and description on the realization process of GMSK demodulation algorithm in SFF SDR development platform, which is a new development platform. The paper introduces the hardware structure and software development environment of SFF SDR development platform, and describes its tow kinds of development modes and development design process based on MBDK. Combining the RTW in Simulink and CCS3.3, it compiles the Simulink module which is built according to algorithm and makes real-time simulation analysis. Finally, it downloads the executable files generated by linked after compiling GMSK demodulation module. The paper realizes the communication between the host machine and the target machine by using the external communication mode of RTW, observes the results of execution through the host machine monitor and comes to a conclusion.
