As early as 30s late in the 20th century, phased array technology have emerged. China began to carry out phased array antenna technology research from 1960s. In recent years, military-based antenna technology used for construction of national economy is growing and expanding the scope of its civilian. Antenna technology in economic construction, scientific research is showed a new demand what is the antenna technology's driving force including the development of phased array antenna technology and it will be getting stronger.This paper describes the development of phased array antennas and technical features of the status. From the linear array and the rectangular planar phased array antenna which have simple structure and wide range of application, phased array antennas with some basic parameters, formulas and simulation results lobe are given. We analyzed impact of the number of array elements, array element spacing and spatial structure on the antenna, combined with triangular grid antenna and circular ring conformal phased array antenna based on the characteristics of the design is given its own circular conformal phased array antenna.Second, in the antenna design, We analyzed the radiation antenna array, shift unit, and feed network. Make it have a symmetry in structure, to step in the form of incentives to achieve full range of easy to scan angle; The array elements required for phase compensation amount and the phase-shift amount provided by the delay line phase shifter are complementary, operating frequency wide open; scanning diversity, so that feed network compared to planar array or linear array is more streamlined.We focuses on the overthrow of its pattern, using Matlab simulation software to analyze different situations in the array element radiation power and the main lobe and side lobe changes, changes in the feed array elements phase signals whether the advantages of full scan and compare with the rectangular grid, the main lobe beam width obtained under the same conditions better than the rectangular grid planar array, the radiated power or less the same circumstances, the required number of array elements is less than the rectangular grid planar array so it have lower cost.
