Research On Method Of LED Panel Pictures Quality Assessment Based On Optical Model

In the LED panel pictures quality assessment, use optical measuring instrument to collect luminance information. Optical measuring instruments require measuring in the direction of LED panel surface normal, however constrained by the scene circumstances, measuring only in the direction of a tilt angle of LED panel surface normal. Therefore the collected information are not precise, thus the precision of the assessment results are affected.In order to improve the precision of the assessment, this paper base on the theories of photometry and LED panel principle, discussed the optical properties of LED panel; then deduced LED luminous intensity spatial distribution function; thereby established LED panel optical model; and analyzed and simulated. At last the optical model is applied to LED panel image quality assessment, The experimental results show that, using the optical model can reduce the error caused by instrument measuring in the direction of a tilt of LED panel surface normal, therefore the precision of the LED panel image quality assessment can be improve.
