DRM Technology Research Based On Domain User's Rights

With the fast development of the Internet and information technology, the proportion of digital content industry in the national economy is gradually increasing. The digital resources are easy to be copied and distributed completely, so it is popular to make use of unauthorized and illegal digital resources, which have an enormous impact on digital industry. The protection of digital rights and the usage control of digital resources have become a hot issue in the research field of network security.The technology of Digital Rights Management (DRM) is a mainstream approach of the usage control of digital resources. The thesis summarizes the DRM functions, the DRM basic framework and the DRM related technologies, points out the problems in the typical DRM system, proposes a DRM solution based on domain user`s rights, and achieves the design and realization of an example of the system.To protect digital content, the certificates of resources are bound with user equipments in the typical DRM systems. In other words, the digital resources which are bought by users are only allowed to be used in the purchase equipment. But this way limits the flexibility in the use of digital content. In the DRM systems based on domain user`s rights, the domain user`s certificates were introduced in the shared domains. The usage control of resources is achieved by resource`s certificate and domain user`s certificate.The thesis introduces the DRM system framework based on domain user`s rights, illustrates the following questions: the formation of authorized domains, user joining and exiting/leaving the authorized domain and resource sharing control in authorized domains and so on. By doing so, we could protect the copyright of digital resources and meet the resource sharing needs among multiple users or user multiple devices meanwhile.
