Software Testing Technology And Developing An Automated Software Testing Tool

The software test occupies the very important position in the whole development process of software. It is the key that keeping the quantity and improving the credibility of software. With the development of the software design, the increment of the software scale, the shorten of the software development life cycle, the augment of the workload of software test, it is the inevitable trend of the evolution of software test technology that using software test automation technique for improving the speeds and efficiencies of software test, shortening the software development life cycle, and reducing the cost of software test. Therefore, it is very valuable that developing an automated test tool which is efective, reusable, and maneuverable.With the widespread application of the handset and the newest phone being put into the market, the software test of phone is already more and more different from the common software test.Firstly, this thesis researches software testing ,and introduces the software testing principle and means. Meanwhile ,it also introduces some kinds of models during the software testing and testing process. It analyzes the disadvantage in the manual test and points out the advantage in the automated test. Secondly ,it also identifies the handset software testing and its test case .Studying and developing a automated handset test tool for the project of company. It realizes communication between the handset and PC by serial port. It can generate test script automatically, invoke test script automatically and generate test result report automatically. Moreover, it still implements the separation of the test data and the test script. Thus, it raises the reusable rate of test script.Lastly,an example is given to explain how to use this tool to do random test and the test that can invoke the test script.
