Recently communication technology is developing rapidly, people's way of thinking and activity changed a lot, including the field of education. A lot of experts and scholars continuously devoted themselves to the work of bringing more preceding thoughts and advanced technology to the field of education in order to change the traditional way of teaching, improve the quality of teaching, and train all-round development student. The purpose of the author's design of the Real-time labeling System based on Social Cognitive Theory is to conform to such form.The Real-time Labeling System, which is based on Social Cognitive Theory, is a kind of system embedded to Word2007. It is implemented with Visual Studio2008 and use Visual Studio2008's word-addin system. It is programmed by C# language, and uses WCF. This system is used in local area network. When student add tag in their Word2007 document, these tags will be sent to teacher's computer, and will be displayed in teacher's word document which has the same name with students' documents. By doing this teacher can know more about students' problems and requirements, thus can improve the quality of teaching. Teacher can also choose other ways to show these tags to all students, and the students help each other to solve these problems by discussion. In this way of teaching, teacher can improve the quality of teaching and insure more participation of students compared to the old way of teaching, in which teacher explains knowledge by their own experience and further teaching will be based on the feedback of students.In order to complete the work of design and development of the system better, the author of this paper did necessary research on background information, not only reviewed lot of literature related to the system, but also interviewed teachers and students about their thoughts of current teaching situation in class and their willing to change the situation. And then the author of this paper did necessary research on social cognitive theory. The author summarized the core theory of social cognitive theory on how it impact teaching and what will be the trends of its development. All of such work prepares well for the exploring system.After achieving the Real-time Labeling System based on Social Cognitive Theory, the author of this paper applies the system to the course of Computer Basic of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Vocational College. After two weeks of the course, the author evaluated the effects of the system by the analysis of the result of questionnaires. The results show: the system is helpful to teachers and students. It can help students in improving their interests in the course, and can make teaching more effective. Teachers and students who participated in the course hope to use the system in their future course, and also in other software such as PowerPoint in order to achieve their individual requirements. It is believed that all of such work can help for the researchers of other educational system's development.
