With the development of information technology, lots of subsystems had been established in banks such as card system, e-bank system and so on. These subsystems have their own special function and are always independent of each othe, resulting in many "information isaland ". The changing market requirements need integration and Reorganization of these different subsystems. SOA has been widely propagated and received by many users and enterprises. As a new model of software development, SOA realized the reuse of software assets by using loose-coupling approach. By using SOA, application systems can be constructed rapidly to respond to the constantly changing market conditions and user requirements.Currently, ESB is an effective solution on enterprise application integration (EAI). The traditional point to point application integration approach will result in very complicated enterprise IT infrastructure, along with high maintenance costs and slow market response speed. As the information transmission backbone of SOA, ESB can help enterprises simplify IT infrastructure, reduce operational costs and enhance business agility and market responsiveness, ultimately enhance their competitive ability.Firstly, the thesis discusses the theoretical framework of SOA and ESB, summarizes its related technologies, mainly including: WebService, WSDL, SOAP, UDDI and so on. And then leads to the enterprise service bus model, describes the superiority of SOA construction by using ESB technology. The internal mechanism of ESB is researched thoroughly.Based on the current business bank application integration status, the thesis proposed the design flow of application integration system which based on ESB. And then the thesis designed a bank application integration system in detail, including the function modules design of ESB subsystem and service management subsystem.Based on Websphere Message Broker which is the application integration middleware powered by IBM, the thesis implemented most function modules contained in the system which proposed ahead. Through a comparative analysis of the system operation results, the feasibility and practicality of the bank integration system designed in the thesis is well verified.Finally, the thesis summarizes the design approaches and the implement steps for the ESB-based application integration, as well as the direction for further research and improvement.
