The cooperative communication system can achieve higher diversity gain with the help of the relays sending messages. Unlike traditional MIMO system, cooperative communication system has no required to antenna amounts of the communication equipments. To achieve space diversity, cooperative communication system searches the idle network nodes to form the virtual MIMO. On the other hand, for the multi-source multi-destination multicast network, applying the wireless network coding to the relays can help to enhance the network throughput. Starting with the combining methods of network coding and cooperative communication system, this thesis analyses the performance of all the methods.The mainly works include: research on the application of linear network coding in cooperative communication system. Firstly, the basic theory of cooperative communication system and network coding are introduced .On this basis, we analyse the performance of the system applying Galois Field Network Coding as well as Complex Field Network Coding. After that, we pay our attention to the multicast network with dual-source, dual-destination and single-relay. Simulation results show that, in dual-source dual-destination single-relay system, compared with the system with no network coding, system throughput can be increased to double with complex field network coding, but system outage probability is only slightly reduced. Finally, research outlook for future work is carried out.
