With mobile communication technology's large-scale development and the 3G time's arrival, the cellular system wireless localization technology has been getting better and better in theoretical aspects, also more and more research acheivements have arisen in the application area.The localization technology in cellular communication system has not only provided a positional information service, urgent rescue and goods-tracing function for the customers,it has also played a very effective role in national security and crime prevention. The cellular wireless communication system's basic principle is according to the mobile's position characteristic parameter (for example arrival time TOA, arrives at time difference TDOA, angle of arrival AOA), to do the survey and to achieve the mobile's localization.Firstly, this article will introduce the application of wireless localization technology in cellular network. It will discuss the cellular system and different kinds of regular usages in localization technology.Secondly, this article introduces the network based on the TOA localization algorithm,the TDOA localization algorithm's basic principle and the mathematical model of the cellular networks. It also will analyse the NLOS error model and its effet. At the same time, it studies the effect of the traditional localization algorithm (for example the Chan algorithm, the Fang algorithm, Friedlander and Taylor sequence method of development) and also analyses one kind of anti-NLOS error's localization algorithm.Finally, this article introduces the advantages of using the OFDM signal to locate, which based on the OFDM signal's localization technology. It also estimates the simulation research of TOA estimation and localization algorithm of OFDM signal.
