Source localization using TOA/TDOA measurements has been studied and applied extensively over the past two decades.The TOA based source localization model requires the source node to synchronize with all the anchor nodes.However,there may exist clock errors between source node and anchor nodes in practical applications.As a result,the problem of asynchronous TOA based source localization becomes hotspot and nodus in recent years.Besides,the accurate positions of anchor nodes are hard to obtain,so the problem of TOA/TDOA based source localization with anchor nodes position error is also a hot and difficult research.The main contributions of this dissertation are as follows:1.A semidefinite programming(SDP)based algorithm is proposed for the problem of source localization using TOA measurements with unknown transmitting time.Besides,a robust localization algorithm is given when there exists anchor nodes position error.2.For the problem of joint synchronization and localization using two-way exchanged TOA measurements,a proposition that the average method will degrade the Cram?er Rao low bound(CRLB)is given firstly.Then,starting from original maximum likelihood estimation(MLE)problem,two SDP-based algorithms are proposed corresponding to the number of exchanged information is great than one and equal to one,respectively.3.A model of stationary emitter source localization using TOA measurements from single moving receiver is proposed.Two SDP-based localization algorithms are proposed for accurate and non-accurate anchor nodes position,respectively.4.For the problem of moving target localization in distributed MIMO radar systems using range and range rate measurements,an SDP based localization algorithm is proposed.5.For the problem of source localization using TDOA measurements with node position error under five different scenarios,five uniform SDP-based localization algorithmns are proposed.6.For the problem of TDOA localization with locally synchronized anchor nodes,two SDP-based localization algorithms are proposed for accurate and non-accurate anchor nodes position,respectively.7.An alternative iteration algorithm is proposed for the problem of moving target localization using TDOA and FDOA measurements.The alternative iteration algorithm consist of three subalgorithms.The first one is an SDP-based algorithm for the computation of target's initial position and velocity estimations.The second one is a weighted least squares algorithm to update the target's velocity.The last one is an SDP-based algorithm to update the target's position.
