The Research On The Synchronization Algorithms Of OFDM In Burst Mode Communication

With the development of IP technology, the burst mode transmission techniques have recently received considerable attention. The multicarrier transmission known as OFDM has recently received considerable attention for its robustness to multipath selective fading and high bandwidth efficiency. It is also widely recognized as one of the key techniques in the next generation communication systems. So, studying on synchronization algorithm for OFDM in burst mode has important significance.This paper focuses on the research of OFDM synchronization algorithms in burst mode communication. Firstly, the principle and properties of OFDM are described simply. Secondly, the architecture of the preamble, synchronization parameter error and several synchronization methods are analyzed in detail. Finally, this paper focuses on analyzing the symbol timing synchronization algorithms based on training symbol. Also, the modified synchronization algorithms are analyzed and compared with the traditional algorithms under the same simulation environment. Simulation results show that the synchronization performance of the modified algorithms is improved greatly than those of the traditional algorithms. And the modified algorithms can satisfy the transmission requirements for burst mode communication.
