With the twenty-first century's continuous development of science and technology, biometric identification technology has a lot of popularity and application. Although biometric identification technology has been applied wildly, such as the most widely used fingerprints recognition technology, a single biometric identification technology must has some shortcomings, such as external factors, malicious imitation and destruction to the systems, the limitations of the single identification technology, etc. These will limit the development of biotechnology. Therefore, multi-biometric identification technology will become the main direction of future development.This article is based on this idea and combines fingerprints recognition with palm-print recognition. It extracts and matches its own feature. This article not only makes up both fingerprints identification's and palm-print identification's shortcomings, but also combines them together by using Gabor and Wavelet zero-crossing and other algorithms.Firstly, this article gives overview to biometric identification technology, and then shows the elucidation to some key techniques involved in the article. Next, it gets hand-pattern images and pre-arranges them by a digital camera. It uses Gabor and Wavelet zero-crossing techniques for feature extraction and matching.VC.NET editing software designed hand-print identification system. Matlab and other simulation software give simulated examination, they reached the purpose of this experiment and achieved wonderful effects.
