Train Operation Control and Monitor Device (short for LKJ) which is most widely used in China is part of China Train Control System (CTCS). But there are some shortages in information monitor and management in LKJs used now.In order to improve the security of train operation, this paper proposes a train-operation information monitor and management plat which uses communication networks to translate train operation information, HMI device to manage information and a new on-train-data updating and storage scheme to manage on-train-data.This paper realizes the designs above. First, this paper develops communication mechanisms and protocols based on two redundant CAN networks for LKJ. Messages are classified into two main kinds according to their importance. More important messages are translated on both networks at the same time to insure communication reliability while less important messages are translated separately on the two redundant networks when networks work well, to reduce the load of networks. Receivers use Redundant-ID in the message to discard duplicates. In this way, redundant network can improve its availability. With networks, LKJ can manage information concentratively. Second, this page develops a high reliability HMI device based on ARM9 and Wince6.0 which is used to manage train-operation information and assist to driving. Drivers can use HMI device to inquire about the status of train and other devices, Update on-train data and send control instructions. Third, this paper develops a scheme to store and update basic-ground-data storage, based on the electrical erasable characteristic of NOR FLASH, and realizes online update of basic-ground-data. This paper also develops a method to keep History data of train operation. With these methods, LKJ improves its reliability of on-train data and reduces the cost of on-train data maintenance.Finally, this paper introduces the testing method about these designs and developments above. The results show that the real-time performance and reliability of these designs and developments achieve the demands of security operation of train and these designs and development can improve the efficiency of management of train information.
