With the increasingly development of sensor technologies,the applications of sensors become more and more wide in the areas of Chemistry,Biology,Medicine and so on.At the same time, new requirements have been presented,and the trend of sensor technologies is to make sensors with high resolution,compact size,multichannel,and online detection.In this dissertation,we study the integrated surface plasma resonance sensors for the detection of analyte density in water environment,which is able to meet all these trends.With the quick development of integrated optics,researches of optoelectronic devices mainly focus on integration.So we use integration methods to replace the conventional prism method to realize surface plasmon sensors.The Finite-Difference Time Domain(FDTD) Method is a popular numerical method for the simulation of behaviors of electromagnetic waves.We discuss the principle of FDTD method in Chapter 2 and mainly focus on simulation of dispersive materials with proper dispersive models,and then analyze the characteristics of surface plasma resonance sensors with FDTD method.Two surface plasmon resonance sensors based on SOI waveguides are presented in this dissertation,and studied by both simple model and FDTD simulation for analysis and optimization.
