Research And Development Of Linux Based Printer Assistance System

With the development of embedded system, more and more system adopted embedded Linux as the OS to develop a small and special equipment. In the world of wireless world, undoubtedly wireless telephone network is the most widely covered, widely used and a cheap choice. So, the Printer Company A decided to develop a assistant system of printer, which is named B system. The B system can separate some function from the printer, lighten the burden of the system in printer, on the other side, it can also be modified and updated more flexible. This B system can not only expand the function but also raise the quality of service. And also this B system uses the wireless module so that it can communicate with the remote data center conveniently.The main job of this paper is to develop the B system and add a new function to it which is name functional billing counters function. This function manly realize that getting the functional billing counters data (ex. print counter, copy counter, fax counter, etc) and send the data to the remote data center in the A company.The development work of this B system is to study the B system first and then add the new function to it. It has three part at all:1. The description of the B system and introduction of the original functions.2. The design of the new function: functional billing counters function. The realization of functional billing counters function.
