Designing And Researching The Method To Produce Test Case Set Based Web Logs

Creating effective test cases is a difficult problem, especially for web applications. In order to test Web application completely, test cases should satisfy testing requirements and can test current user behaviors for complex application state. At present, there are some approaches on testing of Web application: model based white-box testing, user session based testing, time based web log testing.In this thesis, we analysis the structure and testing technology of Web application,Web mining and Web log, study model based white-box testing, user session based testing and time based web log testing, summarize and compare these approaches'advantages and shortcomings. We find user session based testing approach'shortcoming, include ingnoring muilt-users alternation and the status of server. Time based web log testing approach has some shortcomings, such as splitting or combining user session. In order to solve these problems, we propose access sequence based web log approach.Access sequence based web log approach uses web log data and searches access sequence to creating test case. This approach can test multi-user alternation and status of server, ensure user session's complete in a certain degree.The thesis verifies the validity of time based web log testing approach and access sequence based web log testing approach from the size of test suite, coverage and fault detection with the experiments finally. The experimental results show that access sequence based web log testing approach is superior to time based web log testing approach.
