E-Learning adequately utilizes the rich learning environment which is provided by modern information technology. It is a positive way to make lifelong education and mass education come true. Nowadays, the products and environment of companies is changing more quickly. Many companies found that the developing speed cannot meet the changing speed of knowledge. Rapid E-Learning shortens content authoring time and becomes the right choice to companies.The basic principle of Rapid E-Learning is training subject mattered experts to using simple authoring tools and develop course in short time by themselves. It has two important features: developing fast and easy to use. Rapid E-Learning makes E-Learning more efficient and economical. It is widely spreading in E-Learning field in recent years.With the fast development of Rapid E-Learning, the market of Rapid E-Learning tool is flourishing. There are so many tools with diversified functions and features that course developers find it difficult to make decisions when they have to choose one.Some scholars have started to focus on the research of Rapid E-Learning. But the number is very small. Nevertheless the research on Rapid E-Learning tools is none.This research introduces five popular Rapid E-Learning tools, including Adobe Captivate, Articulate, CourseLab, Lectora and ToolBook, and helps software selecting by analyzing and comparing their publishing method, E-Learning standards they conform to, price, compatible media formats, the information their tests can feed back, course templates, transition effects for text and graphic, and interactive styles.
