The Research And Implementation Of Performance Analysis System For EDGE Network

Presently, GSM/EDGE is a digital mobile communication network, which covers the largest number of customers. Network performance optimization ensures that this network runs steadily and efficiently. How to improve the operation performance, service quality and operational cost-effective of this network has become the most concern of mobile operators.Mobile network optimization is primarily dependent on third-party software and equipment suppliers' OMC. Network optimization staff collects the appropriate network data through these tools, and according to the operation standard of mobile network, manually analyze these data to complete the daily network optimization.This paper studies the OMC data, to provide network optimization staff with real-time data and flexible performance analysis, in order to make them free from heavy statistics to improve their work efficiency.The system uses Microsoft SQL Server 2005, and chooses VC++ as software development platform, to finish intelligent data collection and network data analysis. During the process of the system design, this paper analyzes the network data, fulfills the intelligent collection of the network data and meets real-time of network data. In order to achieve a comprehensive analysis of the network data, the data analysis of this system is divided into data inquiry services and performance analysis services, to provide query and analysis of network data. Meanwhile, the system provides a user-defined template function, to achieve that the user can operate performance analysis according his/her demand as well data query.GSM/EDGE network performance analysis system provides network optimization staff with real-time network data, fulfills real-time performance analysis and network alarm analysis, achieves the daily network optimization work, produces corresponding reports and improves the network optimization work efficiency.
