The Research Of Qualitative Simulation Framework Based On HLA

This paper studies the qualitative simulation modeling and the realization of the prototype of qualitative simulation platform. Qualitative simulation theory has been proposed since 1980s, which becomes a hot-spot in many fields,such as military drills, machinery fault diagnosis, medical reaserch, ecology and econonmics. More and more reaserchers and engineers take a great interest and enthusiasm on qualitative simulation.In recent years, qualitative simulation has a very obvious development in theory and application; however, some problems were encountered with in-depth study and the expansion of the application fields. One of them is the qualitative modeling and simulation system platform design, which affects the further promotion of the reaserch and application of qualitative simulation to some extent. In this article, the modeling method and platform design of qualitative simulation are proposed based on the theory reaserch of qualitative simulation and modeling process. We analyze the qualitative simulation algorithm and characteristics of the model itself, combined with the theory of component- connection and XML (eXtensible Markup Language), and give the design of the simulation model libraries and the prototype of simulation platform.In this paper, there main tasks have been achieved; the first one is to analyze the qualitative algorithm and study the components-connection based on the standard of HLA (High Level Architechture) simulation framework. Secondly on the basis of the first part, the component variables, constraints, and inference rules are standardized and stored as XML document according to the design of qualitative simulation model libraries. The last task is to design the prototype of simulation platform and the implementation of the qualitative simulation algorithm, which requires parsing the model from the simulation libraries and then running this simulation, outputting the simulation results, evaluating the simulation platform and analyzing the results of the simulation results.
