The physical paper has contributed to the whole human civilization. With the high-speed the progress of computer and Web technology, people expect the natural interaction with computer. So the pen-computer interaction appeared, and the digital paper appeared in the virtual environment. The digital paper has not only the handwriting-displaying feature, but also the convenience and high efficiency of information technology. But the invisible features of physical paper have been ignored, which are the physical properties of paper. They are the most basic and indispensable to the physical paper, which affect the expression of ink.How to embody the physical properties of physical paper in the computer environment has been a problem. This paper proposed the pen-interaction digital paper, modeling the physical properties of physical paper in virtual environment. And the interaction expression between this digital paper and the digital ink was displayed. At the end of the paper, the DEMO for the displaying of this digital paper was presented. The main work of this paper is as follows:1. Modeling the digital paper with physical properties. The physical properties were digitized, and two models for the digital ink displaying were proposed. Then the paper-deformation model of recording the writing trace was presented.2. Building the standard of the pen-interaction digital paper. The standard of the pen-interaction digital paper based on XML was presented with detail, which could accommodate with InkML, and record the digitized property parameters of the digital paper.3. Expressing the interaction of the digital ink and the pen-interaction digital paper. The content of InkML was customized, using the F-Tablet as the input device. The contrast of the interaction expression of them was presented.4. Designing the DEMO for the pen-interaction digital paper. The program for expressing the pen-interaction digital paper using the Visual Studio 6.0 was designed, which was using the F-Tablet as the input device and embodied the different effects of applying the different parameters in the model.
