With development of the micro-electronics, computer and communication technology, power-automation technology has been developed greatly. The traditional street lamp lighting can't meet the demand of modern city lighting, for the questions exciting in it such as low efficiency, high cost, unable to monitor in time, so it has been the hot subject to develop the automatic, reliable, effective, saving , convenient and advanced street lamp monitoring and controlling system. During these years, the Field-bus technology has been developed quickly and has been applied in many areas widely. The local operating network LonWorks that is developed by American Echelon Company in 1991, because of its outstanding opening and interoperability, has gradually become one of the most competitive field-buses at present. So there are terribly realistic meaning and application value to research the street lamp lighting monitor system based on Filed-bus.Based on this point, the paper develops the intelligent node of the street lamp lighting monitor system based LonWorks with the need of electric power by the research in the theory of street lamp lighting monitor system and LonWorks technology.The paper introduces the key technology of LonWorks, ShortStack technology and the hardware device PIC16F877 single chip and TP/FT-10F flash control module that are used in developing the intelligent node in detail at first.Then the hardware and software of the five main body of the intelligent node of the street lamp lighting monitor system (the luminance and yawp detecting module, the execution module, the electric power parameters collection module, communication module and storage module) are developed by using ShortStack technology that Echelon Company has developed. At the same time, for improving the control effect for the street lamp luminance we firstly use BP network to identify the model of the street lamp system, then adopt composite fuzzy PID control method that is different from the classical PID control method and use Genetic Algorithm (GA) to optimize the shape of the memberships, at last we carrying through simulating research.At last, to facilitate the observation and control of the local data, we adopted the Visual Basic 6.0 software (VB6.0) to design the control interface of the upper-computer. The observation and control of the LonWorks network is realized by creating the data exchanging among the LonMaker, LNS DDE Server, VB6.0 and SQL Server 2000 database.The intelligent node of the street lamp lighting monitor system that has been designed in this paper uses the open field-bus technology, it possesses the characteristic of nicer interoperability, real time to communication and adaptability to environment, realizing the remote, intelligent management for the work situation of the street lamp.
