With the rapid development of science and technology in the Information Age, opto-electronics technology, information technology and integrated circuit technology play a more and more significant role in all areas. As a new application of laser technology in the field of opto-electronics technology, fiber-optic communications and optical fiber sensing technology have become the hotspot of engineering applications and research. The advantages of fiber-optic sensor include good insulation of electric, small size, large transmission capacity, and so on. Anymore, it can choose different detection methods in accordance with different mearsured objects, so it is very beneficial to be applicated into the complex field of structure testing, and so on.At present, monitoring technique based on fiber-optic sensor technology has been applied in many fields, such as plumbing, civil, sensitive facilities and so on. So researching fiber-optic fence alarm system, which is based on the fiber-optic sensor, has an important economic value and social significance.In this dissertation, one fiber-optic fence alarm system has been designed, and some theorys of technology and algorithms of fiber-optic fence alarm system has been used. Then the feasibility analysis of the structure of the entire system and the program of experimental verification are made. And at last the experimental tests have been carried out. The dissertation can be divided into the follow aspects:In the aspect of technology and theory of the fiber-optic fence alarm system, Mach-Zehnder interference and cross-correlation algorithm are used to improve the positioning accuracy and reduce false rate of the system.In the aspect of overall fiber-optic fence alarm system design, the basic design principles of system, system configuration, system architecture, positioning module, data analysis and so on,have been analysed in this dissertation. Then the experimental design and experimental validation program of the fiber-optic fence alarm system have been brought forward. In the aspect of experimental certification of the fiber-optic fence alarm system, a simulation test of alarm system is set up in the base of experimental design program, which have been put forward in the former dissertation. In the software, every functional modules of the fiber-optic fence alarm system have been designed with LabVIEW embeding MATLAB algorithm.And at last, with the experimental test, alarm accuracy of the fiber-optic fence alarm alarm system can satisfy the requirment of safety warnings in general industry. Compared to the traditional alarm systems, fiber-optic fence alarm system will be better able to satisfy the needs of intelligent monitoring in some large-scale and some special places, which will have a better market prospects in the area of perimeter guarding against.
