Study And Implementation Of Embedded System IDE

With the development of computer technology, embedded-system application is becoming more and more popular. While there are some problems in development of embedded-system, the traditional development method reduces the efficient and cost of development. How to rise developing efficient and quality, to reduce the development of embedded -system is become a research direction in computer field. Using simulator technology in developing, debugging, and testing allows system architects to creat and ualidate their hardware design ideas in 11 vitual environment, therefore lowing risk, reducing the cost of products and seamlessly bridging the gap between the software and hardware worlds. Referring to the JAVA virtual machine, a COMET machine simulator is designed in this paper.Firstly, based on the analysis of the development and existing problem of embedded-system simulation, the study outline of this paper is put forward. Secondly, the feasibility and demand of COMET machine simulator and IDE are analyzed detailedly. The outline design as well as detailed task schedule are processed. Thirdly, the detailed design of COMET and IDE, include design of simulator CPU, simulator BUS system, simulator Memory, Compiler, Debugger and IDE, etc. are finished as an emphasis. In the design of simulator CPU, a set of virtual CASL is defined with a open architecture for extending well.Finally, the system are programmed according the design above. Detailed tests and comparing development show that that the system simulator engine can simulate, edit, debug well, and can simplify the process of embedded system development. The design goal is fulfilled as a whole.
