Mobile Ad Hoc network,also known as mobile self-organizing network,is a temporary and autonomous multi-hop systemic network which is composed of a series of dynamic nodes equipped with receiver and dispatcher. The merits of it are no center, self-organized,multi-hop routing,independent network and so on.At the same time,the shortcomings of mobile Ad Hoc network are rapidly changing network topology and limited wireless bandwidth.People need to cooperate with each other to complete the task in Ad Hoc network environment such as battlefield,emergencies and disaster relief.As a result,a large number of one-to-many and many-to-many communications are needed to achieve the exchange and share of information between mobile terminal units.Multicast technology is a high-performance business pattern which supports multi-communications,with considering bandwidth,multicast will be a best choice when many hosts at the same time as a recipient of the same packet.However,the key of multicast service is multicast routing algorithm,so researching on the multicast routing of mobile Ad Hoc network is very significance.In the paper, according to the clustering system structure of Ad Hoc networks,an improvement protocol with policy-based clustering Multicast Ad Hoc On-Demand VectorRoutingProtocol(PBC-MAODV)is put forward based on MAODV.PBC-MAODV is on the two improvements:on the one hand,aiming at the question about blindness broadcasting of multicast control packets on MAODV,it adopts self-repression flooding policy to construct multicast routing tree that reduces the flow of broadcast networks,thereby the routing overhead is reduced.On the other hand,aiming at the question about routing maintenance way on MAODV,it adopts priority policy to maintain multicast routing tree that reduces the failure of the transmission of packet data which is caused by expired routing,thereby packet delivery delay is reduced.Finally,based on the above mentioned research results,the simulation analysis is implementated,and a simulation platform is established for the realization of the multicast routing system,which verifies the feasibility of PBC-MAODV further.
