Ad Hoc network is a wireless network with no infrastructure. Mostly, it is used for the situation which can not be pre-installed network facilities for example after an earthquake or flood. Because of the limited bandwidth, less memory, weakly processor and the random mobile node. It is difficult to guarantee the quality of communications. It imposes on the IP transmission optimization technology to improve the quality of the communications and reduce the system spending.The IP transmission optimization refers to the transmission optimization problem in the network layer, how to improve the quality of the communications in the network layer and efficiently handles of the operations to each data packet to satisfy the specific demand. IP transmission technology based on the clustering of distributed network architecture is researched in the article. It is focus on the routing transmission optimization technology. As a core technology, IP transmission optimization is actualized by routing optimization. Routing technology is vital in a system. Reasonable and efficient routing algorithm can be balanced and reduce the flux of the network, it is able to improve performance of Ad Hoc network.For the characteristics of nodes and links in the network, In-depth analysis of the main factors which impact network transmission quality. Ultimately, the remotion, bandwidth utilization and comprehensive load of the node are selected as the parameters and are quantified. But it only selects the combination of parameters which is most able to influence for transmission quality. Each combination of parameters is a sort of strategy. Adaptive weighted routing algorithm achieves the dynamic transformation strategy and designs a routing function as on the basis of path selection at last. In allusion to the background of clustering network architecture and with the framework of zone routing protocol puts forward to the policy-based IP adaptive routing transmission optimization algorithm. The algorithm is based on the actual situation to change the combination of parameters. Through changing strategy realizes the IP transmission optimization technology. It effectively balances to the flux of network and reduce the impact of mobile node to network. It improves the reliability to network than the original zone routing protocol.On the basis of the theory,Designing and realizing a simulation system, it makes the effective simulation to the network operating mechanism. Performance analysis shows that the policy-based IP adaptive routing transmission optimization algorithm reduces the delay and improves the success rate of the grouping transmission.
